.."Chokin" plates mystery????

.......I've had two 6" Chokin plates for approx 20 years, both in superb mint condition, was about to list them on auction when noticed something very strange on the back....the word "Mental" should read "Metal"?????.....anyone throw any light on this?

Yes it should read metal and not mental...I also have a chokin plate that I just aquired and don't know alot about it but on my mine it says metal not mental
