Greetings! My name is Peter, and I just joined this group. I'm originally from Denmark, but now live in the state of Washington, in the US. Surprised there are so few people here, but maybe that will change... I have been collecting stamps since age six (my dad got me started, bringing stamp clippings home from international mail at the office), and still going strong, 44 years later. I primarily collect Denmark and Sweden (highly) specialised, but also Australia, France, GB, Norway, cats on stamps... and a few other things. Cheers, Peter
Hi Peter My collecting story is pretty much the same as yours - started as a child at school swopping stamps and carried on. When I joined Harrogate Philatelic Society I was advised to specialise, so I looked at my world collection, found that Poland had the most stamps and decided to specialise in that country - but I still collect half of the rest of the world! There are members at the Society who specialise in Scandinavia.The Scandinavian Society meets in Harrogate every year. Maria
Hi, My name is Richard and I have just started listing on Ebid as Moby390 aka Moby stamps , I have been a full time stamp dealer on Ebay for 10 Years now with a feedback rating close to 30000 at 100% with very few negatives I intend over the next few weeks / months to list several thousand GB and commonwealth items . I specialise in Omnibus Issues , GVI and QEII definitives and GB all reigns , I pride myself on providing a first class service and top quality product second to none I will maintain a large presence on ebay but will be actively encouraging my regular buyers over here when they buy from me on ebay via compliments slips and direct mail etc ,so hopefully i and they will reap the benefits of reduced fees and therefore prices of items. Hi Richard Welcome to the group. I am sure your expertise will be very welcome to the group. I am listing my duplicates and unwanted material instead of just hoarding them and they are selling on a regular basis. I won't make a living out of the sales but they will bring me in pocket money! Maria

I am Cy from Lufkin, Texas. I have collected stamps off and on for some 60 years and sold packets of topicals for a few of those years. In the last decade or so most of my stamps have found new homes, but when cleaning out my storeroom I found several boxes of stamps, covers, and albums. I will be listing these as I get the time.
It's great knowing that your stamps, lufkincy, go to good homes in other stamp collections.
Hello all! My name is Mike and I lived near Salisbury, North Carolina, USA. I have just joined Ebid to expand my locations of stamps for sale. I personally collect only pre-1900 issues so everything post-1900 and my dupes from the early times will be listed for auction. I have over 5800 feedbacks, all positive, on another site from the last 2 years of selling. I normally price my material at 1/3 of Scott's or less and do combine winnings over a 1 week period (possible longer upon request) to let buyers take advantage of reduced shipping charges. Feel free to send me a message for anything that you would like to see listed and I will check if I have such available. I would like to hear from other sellers/buyers as to what types of material seem to generate interest. This would help me in selecting material for listing. Hi Mike Welcome to the forum. The stamp stores are increasing all the time on eBid, so there are a great many stamp collectors who want to sell on their duplicates and unwanted material out there. I'm finding that there is also a steady stream of buyers who want good quality stamps.
Hi Mike, and welcome to the stamp collecting group! Seems like eBid is slowly gaining a bit of "traction" as a venue for US based stamp sellers, and as new ones arrive and (hopefully!) publicize their listings to their existing buyer base, there will also be more buyers here. And that's a good thing! To date, I have mostly experienced eBid as a "seller driven" venue-- I treat it as "having a free e-commerce store front" to which I must bring my own customers, rather than an "auction venue" with built-in traffic.
