Biography:

Born in Sebastopol, CA; grew up raising apples in Forestville, CA. While in high school I worked in construction building houses. After graduation I moved to Chico, CA to attend the university there. Graduated with degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics then promptly went back to construction because there was more money there.
Shortly after graduation I married. We raised four children, two girls and two boys. The oldest is now 27; the youngest is 19.
I am no longer in construction; too many injuries. I have taught middle school mathematics and physical science, been a bookkeeper, owned and operated a nursery, managed a bar, and now sell coins.
My wife and I enjoy traveling and have traveled to Europe with each of our children at least once. My most memorable experiences were when my oldest daughters high school choir performed in the Sistine Chapel, my youngest daughters choir participated in the International Music Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales, and listening to my two boys high school orchestra perform a J S Bach concerto in this massive cathedral in Sevilla, Spain. If you haven't heard Bach in a 16th century cathedral, you haven't heard Bach. Interestingly, I have been to Germany seven times and never been beyond the Munich airport.
