Hi All.
Quicky Question.
I am the fund raiser for the Talbot Owners Club Members and i have migrated ALL my items i had on a website onto here, i have put a link on the Owners website and a few are asking if they need to register to buy ?
Based on what I've read on the forums, I think that buyers can purchase without registering. I just checked the Help system and couldn't find the answer to your question. Hopefully someone else with the answer will respond here. If not, contact eBid Support. My experience with support has always been very good.
It appears that they don't have to register - which also means they don't leave Feedback :(.

But what's wrong with registering to buy? They would have to do so on any other trading site - Amazon, M&S, ASOS, Screwfix, etc.
Going through the registration process before clicking the Bid/BuyNow/MaO button isn't required. Once the button is clicked you will be taken to the login page where a "Guest Checkout" is immediately available.

Enter your email or click the Facebook/Google buttons to continue, after that a delivery address is required and then payment can be made.
Thx,

However, Google+ is closing in April 2019.
Must admit that I don't see what the difference is between registering and buying without registering.
If you buy without registering you still need to provide your name and address and likely telephone number and email address so that the purchase can be processed and delivered. So that's 99% of the registration form requirements. I would also expect that eBid have a legal requirement to retain all transaction details and data for a set period of time.
Perhaps someone can explain the difference to me?
Much easier to create an account as half my guest buyers seem to email me afterwards saying they can't get back in to leave feedback. They just don't realize there is a link on the original email they receive from eBid to get back into the transaction !
I agree. I've never understood why someone wouldn't just create an account.
WOW, i didnt expect such a reat response, hank you to all who replied.
First thats good news, reason for the queery.
Most, ifact almost all of the members on the Talbot Owners club are putting it mildley " set in there ways or old school " and I haven't spoken to any member who have actually herd of eBid but I am trying to assure them all is good on here.
I think once they purchase ( hope they purchase ) and all goes well they will then decide to register, especially when they see what is available on the site.
Again Thanks.
