RIP Richard Briers (The Good Life actor)
Actor Richard Briers - known to millions for his role in TV's The Good Life - has died at the age of 79.
The star, who was also known for his Shakespearean roles, had been battling a serious lung condition for a number of years.
Briers, who starred in shows such as Ever Decreasing Circles and Monarch Of The Glen, recently blamed years of smoking for his emphysema.
His agent said he died "peacefully" at his London home on Sunday.

A very good actor. I particularly remember him in a part he played in Morse, as the character was so different to what I was used to seeing him play. A real slimy creep of a character - which he played to perfection (made my skin crawl).

I think the last few years the majority of his roles were as the bad guy, which as you say he played to perfection.
For those who enjoyed it they were running The Good Life in the afternoons on Gold recently,
but I think they've replaced it with To The Manor Born now.
RIP Richard
