I am unable to dig down to:
collectables>transportation>railway/railroad>photographs.
As soon as I click on photographs, it jumps back to apparel.
I have tried in 2 different locations on 2 different computers, so it is not an issue with my computer (i.e. cache/cookies).
I can confirm that there is a problem as you describe.
You can still list though. Just ignore the skip back to Apparel and select Photographs in the next box. It will show the category as Apparel Photographs initially but the listing will go into the correct place on posting.
If you know the category number then using that in the box at the top of the page may also work.
There does seem to be a glitch when the category is browsed as the subcategory Photographs appears twice (and, for some reason, in italics):
