Buddy points - am I missing something here?
I know there are a lot of buddy points floating about at the moment for social media promotion, but I can't help but feel I am missing a trick here. How does someone who appears to have sold nothing and whose only apparent purchase activity seems to be from spending hundreds of buddy points amass over 160 buddy points in a month?
Answers on a postcard please......

I have had one person join lol - and they upgraded to seller+, earning me 6 points - I have yet to do pinterest, though I thought I had and have no idea what tumblr is, but you need a hell of a lot of newbies even at 6 a piece to get 160+ points!
Love the postcard!;)

Not sure if it is the same character, but this has been raised before. No answers were found and the OP disappeared soon after whether they jumped or were pushed I know not.

There is one seller who puts their buddy link on outside sites to get people to join - they are extremely successful at it. Their current buddy points total is well over 500.. and the list of items they have in the last year from buddy point purchases is impressive, 3 kindles - video camera - printer - adobe stuff..... etc etc..... That one is all above board and they do a good job, not so sure about some others though.

Many members ask for advertising to get people to eBid, this is doing it another way. This one person has probably introduced over a thousand people to eBid so they deserve everything they get for it. There are people who complain that somebody who does not sell on eBid can get so many buddy points and therefore purchases, but rather than complain they should have a go, it is open to anybody to try but it is not as easy as people might think and is hard work for the reward.

Pushed. Hard.
Re: Buddy points - am I missing something here?
The only way to get a high amount of points is to get people that have no idea ebid exists and get them to sign up and hope they upgrade to seller + plus members, for anyone thinking you will get lots of points from placing your buddy link anywhere on ebid.net they have little to no chance.
it's a lot of work for very little and expect just 1 point for every 20 people that click your link.
Anyone with a high buddy point score on ebid will have been contacted and checked out by ebid, they can trace where the signups come from and can contact the new members to check if need be.
I used to earn points on ebid and still get some every month but it's just not worth the amount of time and work.
