Not really a good advert for ebid
Just been having a look around on forums and came across featured stores clicked on one of the featured stores and it says and with an impressive feedback score of +2280 amongst other things
2 feedback from 2014, 1 from 2013 and 8 from 2012 ,2 from 3 from 2011,13 from 2010 and then the rst over 2,200 imported I don't think it shows ebid up in a good light,I really think ebid should manage things a bit better.:(
Re: Not really a good advert for ebid
Not great - fortunately there are others - you and me for example - who look better!
Re: Not really a good advert for ebid
when i first joined and had no feedback I imported mine. When I reached 100 ebid feedbacks I asked the boys to remove the imports.

I think that all imported feedback should be removed after one year. I can see it is useful when someone starts selling on Ebid but a seller should be able to get feedback from Ebid sales during their first year.
Re: Not really a good advert for ebid
I think this "problem" people have with feedback imported from another site is a type of snobbery.
Feedback is not given by the site, but by (hopefully, satisfied) customers. It has been earned by good sellers, in the way that goodwill is earned by a good shop.
If I find a seller with several hundreds or thousands of satisfied customers, wherever they are from, I'm more confident about buying.

Agree 110%. I didn't import fb when I came to eBid, but only because I didn't come from Feepay and couldn't figure out how to import my fb from iOffer. Whether other sellers import fb or don't is irrelevant to me, as long as they have good fb from somewhere, though I do think if fb is imported it would be more helpful to be able to read the buyer comments rather than just 'this fb was imported from another site by an administrator' or similar.
Best wishes for many sales to all,

my feed back is all earned here
Re: Not really a good advert for ebid
Feedback should be worn with pride regardless of where it comes from.
Everyone has a CV.
Feedback is part of a sellers reputation.
Why does everyone feel the need to pre judge people?
We are all in ebid together (one would hope).
Who cares what everyone else does?
Ebid is all about community and mutual help to make sales, is it not?

ebid do encourage the importing of FB, probably because some sellers feel the need for it, i do not agree that FB is a CV, imported FB is without detail, i can not see how FB from another site can be seen as part of the ebid community the said FB states its imported from another site,
as for pre judging people, you could say the example gives a good example of how imported FB has not particularly worked wonders for that seller hence the ops comments, taking it a stage further could not some importers be relying on past merits from a different selling platform to work for them here? im not so sure it does, and if it does kick start a seller like yourself ,would the year ruled proposed be a good idea to let these sellers stand on there merits of trading on ebid alone, i think overall the more we stand on are own merits the better, but i can see the advantage of the year rule if needed.
