US Seller shipping International - How / Who do you use?
Hi everyone
I'm new to ebid, US seller. I very much want to sell to the international market, but USPS employee's tell me that in order to have tracking, I can only ship Global Express, and because the items I would sell (no perfumes) I would need to pack in a box, which adds to the weight. Reason for the box is to insure item doesn't get squished
This is VERY expensive. Who and how do you ship your items?
Thank you, your help is GREATLY appreciated.
Re: US Seller shipping International - How / Who do you use?
Have you checked other shippers such as UPS, MyHermes, or others? I know I've sent things back and forth to the states that way.

What is it that you are trying to ship?
Re: US Seller shipping International - How / Who do you use?
Thank you so much for the replies.
I have not heard of MyHermes, but I will surely check on them and UPS. Thank you for that information
The items (for now) are Hallmark ornaments (I will have over 500 listed by end of month) and Hallmark Kiddie Car Classic's (ornaments and die cast cars) Understand these are not the only items I will list, but until I can get it all figured out, that will be it for now.
Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated

I have shipped many small things to other countries. The USPS employee was wrong. If a package weighs up to 4 pounds, you can use International First Class, which is the most economical. You can also use Priority Mail and Express Mail. I use Priority Mail for higher priced items because it includes free insurance.
I also just shipped a first class package to a U.S. address and got free tracking. I think you have to print the shipping label through the U.S.P.S. website to get the tracking included.

Taken from USPS website
First-Class Package International Service®
Affordable International Service
An economical way to send small packages to more than 180 countries. Can send mailpieces up to 4 lbs (cannot exceed $400 in value). Restrictions may apply based on country destination. From $9.50 at Post Office locations and online.
Probably best to invest an hour or so looking at all postage service options to see what suits your needs.
good luck

Thank you all so much.
I did research and found the information on the USPS website. I am checking with others, just to be sure I can give everyone the best rate, and coverage to ensure package(s) arrives with some sort of proof of delivery.
Glad I asked here and didn't follow the USPS employee. Again, thank you.

I ship all over the USA and tracking is now included on First Class mail free of charge (even letters and cards). The tracking # will show on your receipt. No need to print label online, I go to the post office.
Re: US Seller shipping International - How / Who do you use?
If I ship international First Class mail, I always purchase Certificate of Mailing ($1.35) as some form of proof, otherwise it would have to be Priority Mail (which has tracking included) but that can be expensive.
Re: US Seller shipping International - How / Who do you use?
Thank you Jan I got the US shipping down to a fine art (hahaha) I was on ebay, so it made it easy. Then I figured out exactly the fee's and it was costing me 19% on average to sell there.
I hadn't heard of EBid until I closed the EBay account. and I'm glad I did.
Thank you again for all your help.
