Bought on 13th December and paid for 1st class postage. Just received a note that it has been dispatched today, 24th December.
I think that's the negative feedback I'd leave Bill, and if the seller leaves any retaliatory comments ask support to remove them - it's appalling service!
Re: Eleven days to dispatch
All the positives followed by: I hope the events which must have hindered Seller's prompt dispatch will soon be resolved?
Happy Christmas Bill!
Re: Eleven days to dispatch
You could leave a neutral as you are getting the item but it is poor service ?!
I wouldn't worry about retaliation as you have done nothing wrong and support would get rid of it for you.
At least you are getting your item albeit late. I've just had to open a Paypal dispute about an item I bought on the 12th as I have heard nothing at all from the seller either on the ASL or by email. It does so much damage to the site for all of us when a seller doesn't respond. I have left a negative to warn others.
Re: Eleven days to dispatch
i bought and paid for an item on the 9th and still havent heard from the seller. I do think this reflects poorly on the whole ebid community.

Agree with Cornish, neutral would be my fb of choice, with an explanation of the shipping issue. IMHO there's no excuse for poor service; if a seller doesn't want to be bothered shipping items due to holidays (or simply doesn't have time) that's what the holiday notice is for.
I should be so lucky with sales. Well, maybe January will be my lucky month... :)
Best wishes for many sales to all,

I'd disagree with this, for me it's not a case of not be bothered, more of taking a break. My notice clearly states the following.
Quote:
Orders will be posted on or before the 23/12/2013 (3.30pm) and after that my next posting date will be 02/01/2014.
Feel free to place an order at anytime.
Season greetings to you all.
I think honesty is the best way to address issues and informing them prior to a sale (but not all buyers will read what is in front of them)
The "holiday notice" is more of an "information to buyers bar" for me

Now remind me, how do I leave feedback that is accurate for other buyers but not too discouraging for the seller, or liable to leave me with retaliation?
This beggars belief! If a buyer bought and paid for an item from me it would be despatched within 24 hours, the buyer would be informed that the item has been shipped and positive feedback left. Your seller lacks Customer Service skills and I am gobsmacked that a seller can be so dilatory. This is not how all sellers behave, 99.9% of us provide great Customer service.
The buyer is King

Was it a RUS seller?, not saying that all sellers who use RUS are shoddy with their despatch.
Could the seller be slow due to the weather problems in some parts of the country?
