If they have no stones ( can't make out if the centre is a stone or not ?) if it was me I would probably tie them to a bit of cotton and dip them in Goddard's silver dip. Remember to wash them well afterwards though ! I'm no expert so someone else might have a better idea.
.
half teaspoon baking powder in lukewarm half cup water.
Ps I am no expert either !
The bicarbonate of soda + aluminum foil method works well. First, remove any oils and/or makeup by agitating in a glass of warm water containing hand dishwashing liquid. Remove and rinse well and set aside. Place a crumpled piece of aluminum foil in the bottom of the glass to form a cup, then add your tarnished silver pieces. Sprinkle the bicarbonate of soda to cover the pieces well. Some folks also add a pinch of salt. Add near-boiling water to the glass and allow to stand a few minutes, then agitate for a minute or so. Remove your pieces and rinse well. If there is remaining tarnish, repeat.
Here is a video, though the pieces aren't too tarnished and the process is abbreviated:

Thanks all - going to give it a go :)
whatever you do,include brushing with an old toothbrush, preferably while immersed in the cleaning solution.
