The following new fee will really punish Postcard and Stamp sellers who need to maintain a large catalogue of items which may well take years for the right buyer to come along.
"Understanding the New Surcharge on Relists
Beginning this summer, eBay UK will institute a surcharge on old listings. It explained, "We want to encourage sellers to either update or remove outdated listings by bringing in a new outdated listing fee. This means that listings which haven't sold within 18 months will be charged an additional 10p fee on top of the usual insertion fee when renewing the item."""

Do Postcard/Stamp dealers actually keep relisting for over 18 months over there. Surely the fees would be, in most cases, more than the items are worth.

What will happen is a load of sellers will sign up.. list a few bits... expect immediate results and then clog up the boards with their whining.
Re: Yippee more business for eBid !
O.K. I thought you might be pleased that a few more sellers would be heading this way. I'll just crawl back into my hole then.

Awwww, don't feel that way. I agree with you, this should definitely produce results, especially if eBid can get more U.S. sellers on board. Fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed... :)
Best wishes for many sales to all,

The problem is that we are accused of hyping eBid whenever the other place change the rules.

So what?
It's true.
But it's a good thing.
Keep getting the word out.
Make others aware that there are alternative options.
Right?
:D

Will need to get the registration made easier for first time buyers. We have been having a few just lately who have attempted to buy muliplt stamps or postcards only to find their registration is a problem, so they cannot be bothered to continue.
