Using string delimiters in Bulk Edit
Not sure if this is a fault in the system or a facility that isn’t available.
I am trying to do bulk edits to close subsets of my photos. If I use the normal search in descriptions using a string “Rly Pack X” (with quotes) the system correctly lists me 75 items. If I use the same string in the search Description field of Bulk Edit it finds me 1748 items – as far as I can see it ignores the quotes and returns me anything that has the words Rly & Pack somewhere in the description (it ignores the single x).
Is this a fault and does anyone know a workaround?
Re: Using string delimiters in Bulk Edit
I recall coming across this problem myself. Bulk edit ignored string quotes.
My workaround was to export the listings into Excel, do my edits in Excel, and upload again as overwrites.
Re: Using string delimiters in Bulk Edit
Thanks Bill, but that solution won't work for me as I am trying to close listings rather than amend them. I suppose I could export everything, delete the ones I don't want and then reimport - but that seems a bit of a sledgehammer to delete 75 items. I am now part way through doing them one at a time.
I think a solution to this problem would be a useful Bulk Edit enhancement.
Best wishes for the New Year.

I would mark everything I wanted to close as d, rather than o or a
