Ebid Car stickers Project - suggest some wording etc
As we all know Gazza has said that they will look at getting some car bumper stickers ordered.
I think this is a great idea.
Just imagine the effect of thousands of cars driving round with ebid on them.
But I think the wording is crucial.
And I think that as bumper stickers are small you cannot have too many words.
And I think that the wording needs to be aimed at buyers.
So here is my suggestion
"I got mine on ebid.net"
The idea of that slogan is to arouse curiosity so that people will go home and Google ebid.
What do you think?
What are your suggestions?

Good one babe!
I had a back windscreen sticker with letters 3" high by the full width of my car, plus smaller side window stickers on each side, for another web site I was working with.
They were great free advertising as I drove around, & people couldn't help but notice them.
Bumper stickers & the like are great if lots of us use them worldwide.
Perhaps they could be added to the Buddy offerings ?
You know, the ones with the soon to be added paid "option" ? of air-mail shipping.
Eh! guys' :confused::confused::confused:

if i had one concern a person might think its the car you were driving is what the bumpersticker said you bought , alot of advertising for car lots out there , regardless i think it will work
That was my first thought when I saw the suggestion ! My old rust bucket would not be a good advert for the site !!!
The old stickers were in clear plastic, to stick in your back window, with the red eBid logo and www.eBid.net Online Auctions without the fees. I would imagine if they were dealing with the same company that they would just change the logo to purple.

My initial thought to Julie's slogan was 'brilliant'!. However, I do have to agree with Cornishmaid - it could imply that the car was bought through eBid. But I do agree that it should not be aimed solely at sellers.
The simpler the better. Something along the lines of BUY and SELL on eBID
I have the old style sticker on my back window but it is not that visible to be honest.
Re: Ebid Car stickers Project - suggest some wording etc
Bit early in the morning for real thinking yet. Julies is great and we do need to get the buyers here, if we can do that getting more sellers will not be a problem.
Jokey ones can be eye catching and memorable. We could go for 'DZAMBO Was here'. It might even end up with half the world Googling Dzambo to see what it was all about.
Re: Ebid Car stickers Project - suggest some wording etc
Must admit that the term 'I got mine' instantly made me think of 'I got what was coming to me' (i.e. my just deserts).
I think a short two line rhyme would help. Purely an example and not a serious suggestion:
The rhyme on 'net' would help people remember the .net address rather than .com
Re: Ebid Car stickers Project - suggest some wording etc
Great lads.
Keep them coming
(I too thought that my slogan - "I got mine on ebid.net" could be taken as referring to the car)
Now if we all had a red sports car like Dzambo!.....
I made it up quickly just thinking that it needs to be aimed at buyers.

And maybe something to show that eBid is international. If it is based on the logo, how about instead of just the national flag, show that larger, but also have all the other flags round as well.

Like this idea, also love Julie's slogan! Julie, you should be in advertising, that's better than anything I've seen on TV in some time. :)
Best wishes for many sales to all,
