Hurricane Sandy Relief YDC auction
It's my first time doing one of these YDC auctions.
I'm auctioning off a Brooklyn Brewery bottle opener. I got it from a Brooklyn Brewery brewer when they were out here in October for the 2012 Great American Beer Festival (the largest beer festival in the USA).
All money from the sale of the opener will go to Operation Hospitality on Staten Island. I worked for a few months at CUNY-Staten Island a few years back and I'd like to help the people there.
Re: Hurricane Sandy Relief YDC auction
Hi Daysailer,
The YDC is run from the 24th - 28th of each month (excluding December). Next YDC (106) will be held January 24th - 28th, 2013. That is if the world hasn't ended. :)

Thanks for that bit of information. It's always good to learn something new everyday.
So, er, what's the best plan of action? Wait till January or I can I just sell it where it is sitting now as a charity auction. I'll take away the 'YDC' in the title. Those poor people on Staten Island and elsewhere could really use help. And well, I lived in north Jersey as a little kid too - there's a connection though I won't say what Exit.
I'm a bit skeptical about the whole Mayan long count calendar thing.
Re: Hurricane Sandy Relief YDC auction
you can certainly have charity auction/sales at any time. You might just list it now and if it hasn't sold when the next YDC is due, change it and list it within the YDC auctions

What Meebo said. Good on you for doing charity auctions. :)
Best wishes for many sales to all,
