new seller- lots of questions!
ok I left ebay because they treat sellers like garbage and charge through the roof. So I am learning ebid now. The listing here is fantastic easy to learn, but what do I need to know to hook some bids? any advice or friendships are welcome/needed. Thanks- Krista
Re: new seller- lots of questions!
My advice is to read through the great information on the forums.
Welcome to eBid!

Welcome to ebid and I hope you have a fun and successful time!
I didn't take time to look at each of your listings but noticed you don't have sizes in the titles of girls dresses. So my advise would be to pay attention to the small details so those who look won't have to take time to go into each listing. Many will just pass you by.
Come back and ask specific questions as they come up and there will be someone with the answer.

Hi Krista - welcome to eBid and the forums :)
More use of keywords in your title is one way to help buyers find you. In your art section for example - very few have either painting, picture, wall hanging or canvas in the title - that's what I'd search for as a buyer.
You'll find much more useful info here in Astral's guide -

Re: new seller- lots of questions!
thank you both so much! I am starting now with all the advice. Sounds like I want to list a lot like in ebay. Both your stores are great!
Re: new seller- lots of questions!
You are welcome and don't forget to put a link to your store here when you have time. It gives us a better and faster way to look at your listings.
Re: new seller- lots of questions!

Re: new seller- lots of questions!
FYI...you don't have anything on either your listings or your All About Me page regarding your terms; i.e., shipping, returns, payment options...things like that. Try to get those type things on so potential buyers don't just "pass you by"....speaking only for myself, nothing is more irritating than a tiny one-liner in descriptions..........eeek!

Hi painturdrums & welcome to ebid, you will find that there is not much of bidding wars here so be sure to start auctions at a price you are willing to sell the item for.
Most do not like to use rus (run til sold) as they will never move up the search page, I would recommend using 7 or 10 day auctions with 10 auto relisting with a buy it now price, also be sure to use brand manufacture barcode ean as this will help your items being seen on google.
