The S.S. Cornwall took relatives of mine to New Zealand in 1908.
I believe it was owned and operated by the New Zealand Shipping Company which brought frozen NZ lamb to the UK and also carried passengers/emigrants back to New Zealand.

Thank you for that, but would they have still have been using sails in 1908? I can see it's also a steamship - hence the S.S. - feeling slightly confused ...........................Quote:
