Time To Clear Out Your Make Up Bags
My sister just posted about this on her Facebook profile
I googled this and there are lots of links showing Major cosmetic companies and beauty blogs promoting this
Based in the United Kingdom, this charity supports women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. They accept secondhand makeup (though lip glosses and mascaras must be new), but as they put it on their site, "If you would be embarrassed to give it to a friend, please do not send it to these women."
You can ship donations to:

Re: Time To Clear Out Your Make Up Bags
when I worked in A&E we had direct links with a domestic Violence group who were setting this up even back then [as it's based in central London it may even be the same organisers], and I have been medically retired for 8-9 years . It's a way of giving those that have been abused a little bit of a boost to help them feel more human [which for many has been stolen from them].

This is exactly why I think this is a fabulous idea..For at least 10 years I have had an overnight bag packed and stored in my wardrobe in case I needed to leave for hospital in a hurry. Irarely wear make up but was really pleased to see I had included some in the bag when I woke up in ICU 3 years ago
