Plug your auctions forum and new sellers
A warm welcome to all the new sellers coming across, it's great to see more variety of listings coming to the site.
Just a word of caution the plug your auctions forum is just to advertise your items, one thread is allowed which can be bumped once every 24 hours and if you do a new thread then the old one must be deleted.
I've noticed there are some questions being asked on plug threads and the kind souls that answer are bumping the thread which makes it unfair to other users who want to advertise there. If admin happen to come in and see this then the thread might get deleted altogether.
If you have any questions, or just want to say hello, then much better to use the kitchen table forum and you will get more people replying there to help you out. https://www.animated-smileys.com/emo...ughing-020.gif

Just bumping this up to join tony41's plea.
It might be an idea for the new sellers that have asked questions in the plug forum to move their threads to the Kitchen Table forum then people can chat openly and give advice without pushing down other seller's advertising.
To move a thread you have started just click on the administrative tab at the top of the thread.

Never deleted any of my plugs
Re: Plug your auctions forum and new sellers
One solution might be if the reply facility was removed from the Plug Your Auction forum.
Re: Plug your auctions forum and new sellers
I can understand why a new forum user would use the "plug your auction" to ask questions or not be aware of the rules. What I do not understand is the long term members posting to their thread, and not explaining the rules to the new users. If Administration does what they normally do, then they will be viewed as the heavy handed ones. Unfair to other long term users and "noobs"

@Modgar
This was a chat thread under heading of Kitchen Table.
Under the Kitchen Table section is Plug your Auction section.
This is where you start a thread for your auction / for sale items that you have.
Good Luck.

A couple of lines below the blue forum banner is a dark grey background with "Post a new thread" on it... click that. Please ask questions rather than just complaining! The is not the other place but you can see from many posters' feedback that we do sell here so it is not impossible!

I was making an observation madelaine, not complaining. The comment reflected my slowness to adapt to this new environment which I find frustrates me at times. I'm sure that with practice I'll get better. I'm actually really encouraged at the number of views my recent posts are getting.

I hope it goes well with you - we've been inundated with refugees whose first reaction is to complain and I've become a little over-sensitive. I'm sorry if you took the brunt!
