1. eBid Launches Auction Site in USA
At about 7pm on 3rd February 2005, the on switch was activated for eBid's entrance into the USA. The site upgrade to allow for multi-national and multi-currency transactions has taken over 6 months of preparation and programming. The launch went smoothly, and US sellers started posting auctions almost immediately. We now have a base of over 4,000 sellers from the US with more joining daily. http://www.ebid.tv/?from=news_feb
2. Affiliate Program Re-Launch
We’ve re-launched our affiliate program for GBP(£): you can earn £1.00 for every member who clicks the links you place on your emails or on your websites and registers with eBid. Sign up and add banners or text links to all your emails and web pages - start promoting eBid and earning at the same time.
3. Free Lifetime Seller Accounts
As an opening offer for our US users, a free lifetime seller account worth $79.99 is now available to all members with a US zip code. All UK and US users that had a sellers account prior to 3rd February 2005 will also have been granted this privilege, meaning zero auction fees for a lifetime. There are no listing fees and no final value fees if you use our "Free" auction method of selling.
4. Sell to Overseas Markets
UK sellers now have the facility to make their auctions "Available To" the US market and US sellers now have the facility to make their auctions "Available To" the UK market. Simply tick the appropriate box when listing an auction - all at NO extra cost.
5. Search Result Upgrade
We've upgraded our search results to show all auctions by category. See http://uk.three.ebid.tv/perl/main.cg...=&type=keyword as an example. The left column is now split into categories and subcategories.
6. Re-Design Competition - Win £1000 (or $1900)
We've set up a competition to re-design the look and feel of the eBid site. One common criticism of eBid is that the site is too cluttered, so here's your chance to have a go. See http://helpdesk.ebid.tv/forumdisplay.php?f=120 for more details.
7. Integrated Checkout
Your buyers will now see an integrated checkout page to PPPay.com as soon as they win an auction or use BuyNow to purchase, as long as you tick PPPay.com Instant or PPPay.com Escrow as one of your payment methods. This gives your buyers the chance to pay you in real time as soon as the purchase is made, meaning no more emails back and forth arranging payment.
8. myeBid Upgrade
myeBid has had an overhaul. The entrance page now shows any feedback you are owed or should be leaving, and also any unpaid auctions either bought or sold. A new menu system gives you quicker access to the pages you use most frequently and we've added My Favourites and My Watch List for closed auctions so you can track the results of auctions you were watching. 9. Bulk Upload changes
Download our new spreadsheet at http://www.ebid.tv/spreadsheet/ebid.xls . We've added facilities for posting auctions to other eBid worldwide sites and more details domestic and international postage options.
10. Update Your Registered Card
User can now update their registered cards for free. If you have already validated a card and have been receiving repeated invoices from us, please login and update your card details to enable us to take payment. All unpaid invoices will result in selling privileges being taken away.
11. Vacancies
