Re: HOLY thread resurrection Batman
Im getting bored with all these advertising threads. As I see it the EBid Management run the Company and as such have the right to make the decisions on Advertising and everything else to do with the site. EBid has been here 15yrs, as other sites have fallen. so they must be doing something right.

If bored don't open and read the thread.
Yes, in the three years I have been here eBid never takes on board forum suggestions oh wait, they do.
15 years, golly has it been that long? Correct, still here and the growth is....I guess just as folks here would prefer.
Face it same old posts/threads over and over of how to sell on eBid.
The newbies who have come over and offered suggestions
, advice or just throw their 2 cents in get ridiculed for expecting to sell by listing, suggest it might be possible for eBid to grow tremendously and most of all for their lack of "eBid forum etiquette". Wake up or remain unchanged. In 30 years you might be up to 10 million listings.
Re: HOLY thread resurrection Batman
I will not be here in 30yrs I,M 73 now

I am not stating this or that should be done only wondering why eBid does not promote itself better.
Learn by example? Okay eBid does little to promote, so will I. I'll just wait for everybody else, wait 15 years and see what happens.
Bacon you made the mistake of posting with spelling errors/typos and improper grammar. That appears to be more important than the contents of the post.
looks that way doesn't it, if we all sit back and do nothing like ebid does, i doubt this place will exist in another 15 years unless some thing is done, people go on about sellers coming over from Feebay, but how long will they stay, how long will they put up with having to go and drag the customers in them selves, run around the www canvassing their wares, when they realize there is very little footfall or passing trade they will high tail it back to the other place, Even places like shopping malls advertise them selves, they dont just rely on the shops contained with in to advertise do they, IF i promote my items, i am not actually promoting ebid so to speak am i, certain Markets advertise them selves, they dont rely on the stall holders to do it.
Up to now, i have worked like a trojan listing my item's, I know i will still have this many items in the next week, I sell on Amazon too because they do have the passing trade.
i dont get it, what the issue, WHY the heck are sellers here NOT prepared to pay a little more, Are you all making sooooo much money out of this place that you dont need it to
Re: Why does ebid not have main stream advertising
New to this site and was wondering if anybody sold stuff! Thanks for the info. eBay has worn me out and teed me off so I'm giving this a go. What I don't like is that there are many and I say many counterfeit items for sale. How do I report this?

For a start, everyone who doesn't sell in the area selected for promotion will whine.

So the substantial advertising budget that Amazon provides, and you have a grand total of 10 seller ratings in 12 months??
Recent Feedback:
http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image...192253865_.gif
4.0 stars over the past 12 months (10 ratings)
Whilst not everyone will leave feedback it does provide a basic indication.

If we dig deep enough I'm sure we can find negative or we can pick and choose what to respond to.
Tell me if the hundreds of thousands who have come over from elsewhere are fabricating selling stories.
As much as I agree to stay positive I also believe in reality. Looking at some numbers here I would not puff out my chest merely to say I make sales.
Can anybody make a living here? Reading the blogs on the internet ONE ebidder has posted a success story here and that seller has posted $$ amounts here in the forums...but it's getting better.
Without hurting feelings and pointing out what this site is good for I'll leave it at that. If you or any others wish to try and make some real money then pay attention to what folks coming here are telling you instead of looking for fault.

I don't believe it is, but I am racing certain that the whining would still happen.
