In a world full of flatulence and broken umbrellas, thank goodness for mindless drivel. It is one of the few things which make perfect sense. May we all continue to drivel mindlessly, endlessly and in memoriamly.

My OH is a super driveler when he start with " Did you know" everyone runs off.
I guess that drivelling is one the goals that people have on eBid. :-)
Personally, I enjoy the drivel on some of the threads. Some posters here are pretty sharp. They give me a good laugh.
And, if I were a newcomer here I would be happy to see some threads where people joke around a bit.
The goal might be to make some money, but I can't imagine a seller who doesn't want to have some fun doing it.
Couple of the guys at work are similar.
Story starts off about a band at a concert one attended, then once it's mentioned the transportation used to get to the concert was a motorcycle, the conversation goes on and on and on but never gets to the original topic of the band. I'll hear about the motorcycle, how many times it's been repaired, his buddy that knows how to fix them, what he and his wife did the day before purchasing this motorcycle and it just goes forever and never on topic.
Hmmmm .... could be interesting .... especially what he and his wife did the day before purchasing the motorcycle. http://www.free-emoticons.co.uk/emot...ilgrin0010.gif
You're never to old to learn ... lol!
I suggest you print off a https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...e32lW2mQoVL0Og sign, stick it around a cotton candy cane and wave it at the offenders when they start the blurb!
