Sorry, you're right, maybe my report was too opaque for some.
What I intended was: please change "Giving you an little more insight into the seller." to "Giving you a little more insight into the seller."
For the dyslexics, the grammar challenged and the hard of sight, "an" is the indefinite article used only before words that start with a vowel (yes, a slight over-simplification, but I'm trying not to beat this to death).
I'm reeling, 10 posts already in this thread, no sign of support diving in with "Thanks, will be fixed next upload". Instead, people wandering off into discussions about different dialects of English. Are there really any dialects where that grammar rule is different? Are there really any dialects where "an" or "a" has a different meaning?
So, we're into double figures already. Are we going to have 100 posts before this tiny typo is fixed? Yes, it's tiny. But every typo on a web site communicates that a site is probably run by a bunch of amateurs -- exactly the impression that needs dispelling if there's to be a worthwhile increase in buyers/sellers/listings.
What I'd hoped to highlight is that a concerted effort is needed to rid the site of any such rough edges. I've no doubt some of the regulars would help with that, FOR FREE, if they were encouraged by seeing their efforts rewarded with fixes.
Re: Giving you an little more insight into the seller.
I proofread my posts and listings and think that I've done things correctly. Later on I find typos even though I try to be so careful. That's how it goes.

You do know that I wasn't referring to you?
Support have become really bad at visiting the forums. If I want something changed I either email them in the first place or email the link to the thread.

I did believe that, but it prompted me to think that for some my original post might not have been explicit enough, e.g. post #3.

Hmmm. I can understand that if we're talking about the Kitchen Table, I certainly wouldn't expect support to visit there much. But what in the world is the point of having a forum called WEBSITE SUGGESTIONS if it's going to be ignored by the staff? That's the kind of useless behaviour I'd expect of eBay.
Admittedly in the case of a typo it's not controversial, it does make sense to mail them if that's known to be more effective. But something that's more a matter of opinion it's good to have a discussion here and get views, so why wouldn't support be monitoring?
Besides, there comes a point where I just say "S*d it, if they can't be bothered to monitor, I can't be a**ed to write an email".

This was picked up a while back and hasn't been changed yet: https://www.ebid.net/forums/showthre...e-is-All-Wrong see post #5 - c'mon eBid get yer' doodah in gear!
It is universal, however - here's a mistake seen on the other side - haha!;-)

Every so often I get to that point. It happens about the same time as "I'll sell most of this stuff off and then stop bothering" which is close right now.

But mistakes on the other side don't surprise me, they keep rearranging things instead of fixing the bugs. Please please please, anyone still there who dislikes their horrible new watchlist layout, do feed back your loathing to them.

There we are, Madelaine, it IS worth bothering... go to it!
With hindsight (and a chat with helpful support some time back), typos etc are possibly better reported in Website Glitches.
