Erm wiping your drive is a bit excessive auctiongroup........
Although hopefully this issue has been resolved now, using the programs eddieitman suggested is great:), however id recomend running any anti-spyware program in "safe mode", .
If you ever get a pop up stating "you have a virus," etc or "your system needs a check up", just close them, usually poo
and cushtydeals, a system restore may not work, as a high number of troijans, viruses, spyware etc, put a file into your system restore folder, and basically everytime you restore, the virus does too:(

Hi There,
It may be worth trying McAfee Avert Stinger:
Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist users when dealing with an infected system.
Download it from this address:
http://vil.nai.com/VIL/STINGER/
Once you have downloaded it you simply run it and it will search out Trojans, Worms and Viruses.
I found it very useful when I had a similar experience to you.
Good luck with it :o)
Best wishes
