I'm here to search for my lost youth
To turn surplus possessions into money, to make space and to rehome said surplus possessions where they are wanted rather than them going to landfill.
Greetings to all.... (and thanks to adruml for this thread)
Wow - fellow ebiders sure do have some very noble & genuine goals (from what I've read so far).....
Makes me feel somewhat unworthy, when I say that my goal has been to (possibly) make a living from selling online.
This might only happen for me if I'm prepared to pursue the dropshipping pathway.
Shipping items OUT of Australia to other countries is rather prohibitive when factoring in the Postal Charges. (Oh how I wish that wasn't a problem - but it is).
Unfortunately I'm not a manufacturer myself (which I could see as possibly viable) - Like what Juliebabe is doing for her dad in NZ.
Kind Regards to all................................
I guess it's my turn...
I'm here to make money, not to make a living but supplemental income. When I started selling on line 4 years ago (Jan 2007) I just wanted to get rid of some Tiara dishwear which was hanging around the house, got into cymbal repairs then branched off into whatever it is I'm selling now. Dishwear is long since been gone, cymbals still sell and I enjoy the challenge of the repairs and really enjoy sharing what I have learned about cymbals with fellow drummers.
A thought which has crossed my mind in recent years is our Social Security system here in the US wants us to work until we are 70 years old to reap full benefits. I can't see me doing the same thing I have been doing for the past 22 years another 18 years. So I'm hoping to take an early retirement and any shorfall will come through on line sales
All you people searching for your lost youth... I don't know what you'd do without me. ;o)
It's a charity auction, forgive me the pimp, eh? :D
