Good idea, I think I'll do the same.

This link gives a fairly balanced account of RM profits:

Basically, whilst RM makes a loss on its core business of delivering letters, it still made an operating profit of £67m for the 6 months to last September.
Postage up, Petrol over 1.40 per litre, stealth tax on units of alchohol. Are we being ripped off or am I a cynic ?
Not really. That was a penny post within certain very limited areas. The penny post covering the whole country wasn't introduced until much much later, 1840.
Which I think is very relevant, because Royal Mail is obliged to offer the service regardless of whether you're sending to the next village or from Land's End to John O'Groats. RM can't cream off the business it likes, the way the courier companies do, with exclusions or price hikes for "Highlands and Islands".
Not that I hold any brief for RM. I think these price hikes at a time when we're all tightening our belts are obscene.
I dread having to change all my listings. I think i'd better get started now, as it's going to take forever.
I will also be passing the costs on currenty i sell with free uk postage but no longer i will add postage about the week before as selling at 99p with free uk postage is no longer a option it costs what it costs end of so buyer buy now before we all put up our postage costs
Overseas post.Don't think i will offer it after the end of the month as i can't see anyone paying it.
I shall continue to offer overseas, just on principle. :D
