If we are talking about the same buyer, I do recall that the effective date with eBid was a couple of years old when the first purchase was made. I was not able to generate an invoice because eBid was doing verification. The same buyer with now a current effective date made more purchases and I was able to generate invoices. I thought at that time that the account had been updated by eBid so member was able to make purchases and I was able to generate the invoices. I contacted eBid as to why we were able to generate an invoice for the latter two purchases, and not the first one with an older eBid effective date. Not sure how someone can get a new membership when the old one is being reviewed??
Thanks.

Re: The Tale of the None Paying Buyer
Sorry to see other sellers are having the same problem with "buyers" that don't pay. That's all I am getting lately, even when I do get the rare sale here. I asked eBid if there was any way to require immediate payment, but they said there wasn't.
Too many deadbeats here. Not worth it.
Re: The Tale of the None Paying Buyer
I must say I have more deadbeats on ebay than ever on here.
Re: The Tale of the None Paying Buyer
I've been having non paying bidders as of late also. Not good. But if they're a serious buyer & who DO have good ethics would pay immediately or w/in 24 hours, if they don't, it's a hassle.

I must disagree with this statement.
When I buy from a person as opposed to a large business I do one of two things.
If I want the item in a hurry I request an invoice.
If not I wait for the seller to send me an invoice.
I would never pay without prior contact from the seller. :):)

Well, I do agree with you 100%, but I was under the impression that an invoice is generated automatically from me or eBid when someone bids on something? I could be wrong.
Re: The Tale of the None Paying Buyer
ebid sends you a notification, but then the seller has to generate an invoice to send to you. You can pay of course, before the invoice is sent, but a lot of people prefer to wait for the invoice, just to they know the seller is active (there was a major issue a while back with sellers who would list a load of stock on ebid, on the "run until sold" option, and then take off never to be seen again. This has been addressed by Ebid admins now, but people still generally like that contact to be made now)
