Nice to know that it is not just me. I'm now on my last roll of the stuff and will soon be using plain tape, reducing the number of people who hear about eBid.
eBid get some goddamn ebid tape up for sale and get some new ceramic mug's up while you are at it, i may consider doing it myself if you're not interested in publicising this site, .gazzetta and marko your sellers and supporters deserve this. its god damn packing tape for gods sake. have you no business sanity ?
i have not been here 12 months and it's going down hill , i must apologize for the harsh words but i feel strongly about this , perhaps more than i should.
((( Brunwolf ))) So good to see you. How are you doing my old friend ?!
Lol, say it how it is why don't ya ! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/25r30wi.gif I'm down to my last roll of tape too... mutter, mutter, grumble !
While you're doing it, Brunwulf, see if you can explore a market here for Royal Mail size guides as well, if you can source them in bulk cheaply enough to make a profit. I'm astonished to find there's plenty sold on other sites, yet none here.
Admittedly it's not repeat business the way parcel tape is, but there must be a lot of sellers who'd make a one-off purchase.
And what about gaffer tape (duct tape)? The only choices for me (i.e. in the UK) here on ebid are buying one roll at £5.69 or TWENTY FOUR rolls!!! Blimey! I should be so lucky to send out that many parcels! :) But obviously I'm going to go elsewhere and buy a modest number, say 3 or 5, at a much better price. Even for one roll I can get a better price elsewhere than £5.69.
Admittedly another aspect of duct tape is its quality. What recommendations do other ebidders have concerning quality of parcel tape and duct tape? Good brands, or sellers? Ones to avoid?
The eBid tape is good quality....
Now, to be serious. Really cheap tape is not worth it. I buy a decent brand often from a mail order supplier who sells the board backed envelopes which are my main packing requirement.
I only use duct tape in small amounts (relatively) for keeping coins in their box when sending to the coin broker (I process non-UK coins for a charity) and I'm still on my first roll so I can't compare brands yet.
Absolutely. Usually the cheap stuff is according to description, i.e. it's the right length and width, but tears too easily, or more often is worryingly lacking in real stickiness.
Since I don't have any buddy points I guess I have to go to Amazon, where at least I can read reviews. Ebid must be truly mad not to be flogging their tape, a massive lost opportunity.
Recently I've been selling several items per day on ebay. I do mention ebid in the little flyer I enclose in each parcel, but I'd love to be wrapping the parcels in ebid tape!
