Wow Sid!
Your post reminds me of a JFK quote!
Ask not what America (substitute ebid) can do for you.
Ask what you can do for America (Substitute ebid).
And that is my sentiment exactly.
If you want a successful selling venue, stop whinging and list.
If you can sell snow to Eskimos then you should be fine.
If like the rest of use you can't, then you have to "WORK" at it. ;) :) :) :)

eBid needs sellers with the same devotion as Kreative. Although Kreative's figures shown are good I know from previous comments Kreative is pleased with his accomplishments but he is not completely satisfied if these figures are his final results.
For those ridding their homes of clutter or selling as a hobby those figures are perfect. Those figures are also perfect for where Kreative predicted he would be at this point in time and he is about the only one who will publish sales amounts when he states sales.
When I take the time to check sales from others via feedback left then view how much items sold for I always assume only half of buyers left feedback so I assume twice as many sales have been made. When I average the $$ amount for sales shown I double that just to give the benefit of doubt.
Then there's profit. Assuming twice as much shown as an averages sale price and 30% of that figure as a cost, what's left isn't glorious. Then if time to list, describe, service and ship comes into play, the REAL profit gets less.
Sales are sales and there are sales here. Whatever sales are made the seller gains more profit then I'm sold on other sites.
Profit percentage is one thing but the amount of profit is different.
Re: Sales n Purchases Made on eBid October :-)
While I am relatively happy with my sales I will not complain at a few more. The next few months should show whether real progress is being made, especially December where last year saw my best month.
My sales have increased over the past year, but the percentage increases are slowing, and some months I sell less quantity but am still achieving a higher value. One area where I was looking for improvement was the days without a sale, and this has shown a great improvement this year. I am hoping for a great November and December as I have listed quite a few toys and Christmas items with more to follow. So with luck the value and quantity records will tumble.
For those who have recently joined I would say stick with it, you can make it work. But remember that eBid only provides the platform, if you use the platform well you can make the sales and the profit.

I'm with Sid on finding what we can do for Ebid.
My background is in SEO and on-line marketing rather than retail but as I am in between hosts right now I am currently virtually unemployed..lol
I should be back on track in the spring with new websites and blogs so I'll be able to put more Ebid related promotions out there.
I'm happy to invest my time in this because I want Ebid to work for sellers and buyers alike.
Re: Sales n Purchases Made on eBid October :-)
what awful lot of lot of asumptions you have no idea of any ones total sales costs or profitt yet again you seem to be drawing a negative conclusion based on asumptions that you could not possibly know and you dont buy or sell on this site

Hya Sid..it's always good to see you here.
Thamks for asking. Things are on the change at home 3 of us here and none of us in charge so whoever can scrabble together some cash gets to pay the bills..lol
This means that I cam now 'regroup' while the other 2 do the money stuff until I get sorted. It's like living in a commune.
I wasn't here in the early days of Ebid but have in the past been a founder member of several groups of sellers on newly formed selling sites so have a bit of an understanding of what's involved
So I have a lot of time and respect for all the old timers here. I feel I could do more to help keep the momentum going and intend to work harder helping with that.
Re: Sales n Purchases Made on eBid October :-)
Adequate computer access is good for selling and buying. Sure will be glad when the eBid mobile App is on board.
Re: Sales n Purchases Made on eBid October :-)
Finally able to see all of the posts. Those are some great sales results for Kreative and Mospostcards. May you both have many more sales this month and for the rest of the year.
