I really like the manual way.
I hate all this automated stuff in vehicles making them expensive to repair and people lazy.
Believe me, when my mom shook her figure at us about touching the door handle while inside the car, YOU DID NOT TOUCH IT. Now, everything is control by the driver and that is too scary when you think of what the drive with evil thoughts could do. - It's funny how mom's figure had so much power and us kids were afraid of it.
For me, just need a vehicle to from here to there and back.
(able to hold a couple of cats, "borrowed" plants from whoever's home you borrowed them from. :D )

I used to live next door to a retired Reverend and his wife (a lovely couple) and he gave me a CD called Grumpy Old Men read by Arthur Smith well it is so funny I listen to it when I want a good laugh and on it he brings up the subject of technology and new cars, he says that 'John Peel has just bought a new car but he doesn't know what half the button on the dashboard do' or words to that effect.
About 20 years ago when I wanted to change my car the car sales where I used to buy from said he had a Fiesta in with electric windows and I said no thanks and all his persuasive talk did not make me change my mind so he continued to look for one with manual windows for me now seems you don't have that choice.
The younger set these days have know problem with it and must find some of our old things strange but looking back they laugh at the first mobile phone which was about the size of a house brick and they got smaller and smaller now although they are still slim they are getting bigger and bigger, my nephew gave me the use of his today but he had to call and end it as I had no idea how to my little Nokia would have just filled up about a quarter of the size if that.

'Ello troops. Glad you agree that all these tank gadgets are a pain, pleased my 'new' ten year old tank hasn't got many of them. I lament having to wave goodbye to my old Peugeot 205 years ago that had lasted about 22 years and still had a manual choke and you had to be careful winding the window down as the glass was prone to fall out, but at least it was no trouble to fix if anything did go wrong !

Had friends round for a meal at the weekend. Forgot how out of practice I was at cooking and it was an effort with this heat but managed to produce something edible in the end ! Braved going to the cinema yesterday afternoon with some people from the Bath meet up group and saw 'The Father' with Anthony Hopkins. He acted it very well but I was expecting some sort of a twist which didn't happen, so it was all just about the confusion of dementia which was a bit depressing ! Boy it was hot walking into town and back ! Seeing friends for a drink on Thursday and going out for a meal with other friends on Friday so trying to get out and about a bit.
My lonely bomb in disguise is about to explode tomorrow but otherwise it has been sooooo quiet. Sales just seemed to stop everywhere, not just here, at the end of May. Don't know what is going on ?! https://www.animated-smileys.com/emo...NEmIjfgDAF.gif
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
It was a nice day, yesterday.
Was out driving and "manually" opening my window for air. Finally got home and "manually" rolled up my window. :D :D ( I have the power in my hand )
I stopped at my favorite thrift shop and found some very expensive clothing.
Now I need some time to take pictures, plus a day that's not windy to do so.
Getting ready for work. I have 3 clients today and it will be a long day.
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
Police, hope you don't have a to long a days gardening.
Its nice to see what work in a garden can make such a difference, a friends husband is a gardener so we now employ him to do MIL garden & looks so much better & really opens up, & he is able to do a day a week most weeks which is good, but we can see such a difference, had to ask him to cut back some of the trees again which were hanging over, he was going to take the worst out & then in the autumn have a hard cut back, MIL doesn't like it cut back but having a skip delivered yester showed how hard it was so there isn't any option, so wasn't happy that we asked him to do it.
Have managed to get relists done again, & no more losses.
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
The three jobs I have today are cleaning homes. Tomorrow, more of the same and then nothing.
Then it's getting my lawn and the neighbors lawn cut.
We are suppose to get rain Thursday night and Friday.
We will see what gardening I will be doing.

Yes I get the idea,🤣😂😂😂 and sat here with the song 'I got the power whoa' running through my head. Suppose I had better stick to my other form of transport for the time being.

I was doing really good in riding my vacuum until I decided to take it outside the yard and I ran out of extension cord. :D :D :D
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
You need a cordless vacuum cleaner!
