Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
What a dilemma! I have heart failure and am at increased risk of cardiac arrest because I have had one already. I also have stage 3 chronic kidney disease + type 2 Diabetes.
The dietary requirements for heart failure include foods high in potassium and the main dietary requirements for those with chronic kidney disease include minimising or avoiding foods which contain potassium.
The food selections I am looking at are opposites. So I have a choice of managing the heart failure OR the kidney disease.
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
Another nice day in the 50's.
Was home early from work and manage to get 7 more gardens raked and burned.
I only have 2 gardens left, a back corner garden and the big one along the hay field.
I am so happy to get such an early start of my spring chores.

@Mandart,
I may need to borrow you grand child if I ever get a cell phone.
@FalonTowers
What a heavy burden you have in your health care.
I saw some articles on the internet and it seems this is common that both problems go hand in hand.
_____
Tomorrow I have off and I plan on going down to the farm and do some more clean up in the garage attic.
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
Police you certainly keep busy, hope weather will be kind to you.
Yesterday weather was bad till about 3.30 & then we had sun for an hour, but over night was rain again over night, & today its cooler, & can't make its mind up.
Take care
Pam
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
Hailed here in Monmouth UK yesterday. Raining before and after that. Rained today. Weather forecast.....for real on my phone said....rain continuing for 33 minutes, then dry for 7 minutes, and rain continuing after.
Police...I thought people quit burning plant residue and just left it for compost in the US?
Moonie.....what a pain it is when things don't work right. Seems you have been dealing with it all very well, and maybe a middle of the road approach is the best route. Potassium is important, tho, as low really affects you quickly. Mine was low over Christmas visit to kids in CO and landed me in the hospital for a night.

It's more of a combination of burning and composting.
In the fall, the main portion of the leaves are raked under my row of pine trees. I used this for composting and feeding the pine trees plus keeping moisture in the ground for them.
The other leaves are normally burned and the ashes are used to scatter throughout the gardens or into the compost piles.
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
Thanks, Police! Hard to burn things here! lol

I am debating if I should finish raking the last 2 gardens. :D :D
We got a coating of snow yesterday.
It's to be in the 30's today.
Tomorrow, it's to get into the 50's and the snow will probably melt.
Monday, it's to get into the 60's.

Haha! Mama Nature's way of telling you to put your feet up, and enjoy a hot chocolate and some popcorn while you enjoy an old movie on tv!!
