Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!
Had some very nice days that actually hit the 70's.
Today, it's in the 40's with some wind.
Worked down at the farm taking down brush and had 4 burn piles going.
Trying to get as much brush cut down and cleared before the leaves start and the ticks will be more prominent.
Almost everyone has mowed their lawn and it's only the middle of April.
The normal mowing is towards the end of May.
We did have a couple of days of rain and I swear that I saw my grass grow 3 inches.
Have the battery charged for the lawn mower, ordered new bushing for the front tires and then I have to replace the mower blades before I can mow. I am hoping for at least another week before I will mow the lawn.
I do have my Dutchmen Breeches, vinca, and phlox & grape hyacinth blooming>

Have a day off and maybe it will warm up enough to get some work done in the yard.

Police here the grass just doesn't stop growing, Somer is trying to catch up on the grass cutting at his Mums, its a sit on mower but about a third of the way threw on Thursday it conked out, & they are busy at the place we bought it from last year, so will come on Tuesday, sometime during the day, N is the 5th on there list for Tuesday, they may be able to do on the spot if not will take it back to do. SO we are just hoping won't get any more rain.
Sunshine again here but out of the sun is a cold wind.

Hi there. I have no idea what any of the flowers are outside in my ti-ny bit of Eastbourne as I rarely plant anything out there.
Re: Over half a million auctions at last!!!!

The pink ones are one of the Oxalis family, they can be a bit invasive. The blue are Bluebells and from the way the flowers are hanging down, rather than pointing outwards from the stems, they might be our own native English type. They're becoming quite a rarity as when they cross pollenate with the bigger "Spanish" type with the outward facing flowers and the Spanish type takes over.

We are fortunate enough to have several bluebell woods near us and they are spectacular at the moment. The English variety is so delicate compared to the Spanish thug which is invading our gardens. They are a real problem. We find that the only way to control them is to pull them up when the leaves first appear. Do not dig them up!! You will split the bulbs and have even more of them!!!

This is my (USA) English Blue Bells

There is also Virginia Blue Bells that are 1- 1 1/2 foot tall, larger leaves.
I don't have those.
Here are my Star of Bethlehem's. They seem to have a wider look, and pointer petals.

I planted the pink flowered plant as ground cover so I wanted it to be invaseive. When I bought the plug plants as they were advertised as ground cover to save on weeding.
Yes...I purposelly bought the native bluebells but scattered them ages ago and then forgot I had done it lol
I generally just buy seeds and sc catter them about randomly
