Bump
And another BUMP!

You've got my vote.:)
I think there's a bit of confusion about this option. It's not individual listings that need to be translated, it's the national sites, themselves.
If I registered on eBid France I would expect to have at least the site information and categories in French. eBid will never achieve significant growth in non-English speaking countries until this is addressed.
bump...Now's your chance to let ebid know what's important to you on this site. So vote for your top choices. Thanks.:)
seems to be in the lead at the moment (one I picked as well).Quote:
auction listings showing their bids when you browse the site 63.53%
C'mon folks get your votes in, pick all relevant options you think important to improve the eBid experience!

Well, I just "did my duty" and, if memory serves me correctly, I was number 88. How many members do we have? It seems to me that another "wishlist" item would be a way to (A) email members to give advance notice of occurrances of special interest, such as this poll or (B) create a special "thread area" for all polls to be taken in. In so doing, all members would either be given advance notice or would at least be aware of the existence of a members' "polling area." I realize that it is too late for inclusion, but I'm guessing that there are a lot of members that miss things of this nature who would, in fact, like to put their two cents worth in, also. :)

Was disappointed the poll offered "open the sites to buyers in all countries" but did not include "open the site to sellers in all countries"
- a few of the old hands on here will be able to advise how I would normally react to such protectionist xenophobia, but I'm feeling very, very, dejected right now (from offline stuff) so haven't bothered beyond this note of protest.
In terms of general site appearance etc, I'd say the most important is giving buyers a reason to buy here - making it easy, fun, and instilling trust in the site as a worthwhile venue for the buyers. Maximise the browsers who do actually make it to here, it'll pay off better in the long run and work for future new visitors too.
One factor not in the poll, which I have been bitching about for years .... is ppPay
Two aspects of ppPay need urgent addressing -
- the penny check system, which has caused me more non-paying bidders and sale abandonments that anything else on any venue.
- the "expatriate syndrome" - "IP-address does not match country of card issuer" problem that for 3 years has prevented me from re-verifying my ppPay account and thus stopped me withdrawing MY money from it. The account happily verified on 3 cards issued by my bank, but has refused to verify the last 2 from the same issuer because they are UK and I am in Thailand.
For me - that last issue is one major GRRRRRRRR !
