Product Attribute Additions to Categories
eBid will be seeing many new product attributes being added over the coming months. We will be working on these on a category by category basis.
We'll be working on the most obvious ones to start with before we launch the new system but any of your regular or favourite categories you would like us to spend some time on just drop a note here and perhaps the most important attributes for the at category also.
Thx,
Gazza

Seeking the opinion of users you will be lucky to get two to agree (and end up with a headache).
You would likely be better off looking what filters commercial enterprises use to sell their goods. For example, for clothing - what filters do someone like Marks & Spencer use on their site? Similar for other categories of goods.

Stamps could use mint/used for a start
Re: Product Attribute Additions to Categories
Thx Madelaine,
A "Qualtiy" filter for stamps is in place and ready for launch.

Need to have a third attribute "mixed" to cover when more than one stamp is listed in one lot with some being "Mint" and some being "Used".

At the risk of hearing "Off with her head!" (Alice in Wonderland) I would suggest that you take a look at "the other side" and see what they offer. Being a competitor that we would like to "rescue" buyers from, offering something that the buyers are familiar with might make newbies feel more comfortable shopping here.
As for spelling - please make sure you include US spellings, which sometimes differ from the UK. I.E. Jewellery - Jewelry
"Ducks head" and leaves..........

I suggested this some time back but it fell on deaf ears. Surely it makes sense to look at a well-established site for reference. Part of the problem here is that new buyers are not comfortable with the lay-out.
Just take a look at the Craft > Needlecraft and Yarn category for a start. Far fewer to negotiate than the absolute senseless jumble on here.
Don't hold your breath folks........ blue in the face springs to mind.
