" So what is it that attracted you to the things that you collect? "
No, they are attracted to me and I just collect them. :D :D
These are pictures when I finally purchased a digital camera.
There is a LOT more on film. :D :D
Re: Why do you collect it?
Police - you are hilarious.....and my kind of purrson!
Interesting question. I've collected a number of things over the years....I have a small but treasured collection of books that were printed on old fashioned printing presses that leave the impression of the type on the page. One is a math book for children, in the 1800's, that posed word questions like....If Mary has 1/8 pound of opium, and opium is $1.27 per ounce, how much did her opium cost? (Words and figures approximate...but you don't find math books talking about opium today)
I also have a treasured collection back in the states of Papago baskets. They were all handmade by women from the natural resources in the area. Devil's Claw made the black, and usually the baskets have a pale background (yucca, if I remember right), with a pattern of some sort in a greenish color, with maybe black accents. Or pale only with black. Turtles, zigzags, mazes, birds....each might be the subject matter of the basket, which could be huge or tiny, flat, or bowl or vase-like. I collected them because I loved the artwork, and respected the skill and talent it took to make something originally created to be utilitarian, so beautiful.
Now I collect dust bunnies, and aches.

Re: Why do you collect it?
I'm not really a collector of anything, but I do have four model F1 cars, a gold plated Blackpool tram and a Shaun The Sheep ornament which 'he' personally gave me in Cornwall some years back...

When I was in high school, I did create a CATalog.
I boarded my horses at a local farm and always had cats.
There were cats being dropped off and sometime I was able to have them adopted out.
I created a form that showed front, left side and right side of a cat shape.
Each cat had a form that showed their markings, their names, when they were born, mom and if possible the dad.
( One of the cat dad's, a male calico, had six toes and some of the kittens would have the six toes )
My mom was upset that I didn't keep up the CATalog when I moved out of the home and out in the country.

I wanted a Shaun the Sheep plushy.
Every time I see that commercial, I think about locating one.
( My luck, Fletcher the cat, would add him to his toy box )

Re: Why do you collect it?
Because some is simple and classically elegant but often with a 'new' twist to it and some is so inventive. It's all beautiful (But none as elegant or beautiful as cats).
