Re: How do I use a Knitting Nancy?
I have just come back at spending the day at the Olympia/ Kensington at a craft fair. I did 3 workshops and I give you 3 guesses what the last one was about - French knitting with beads. Which turns the knitted pieces into jewellery. So now you know what to make with your knitting Nancy

That sounds like a fantastic day you have had. I didn't know you could work beads with it as well. Fascinating.

Oh wow, now I'm jealous, just kidding. :) Wish I knew how to knit...
Best wishes for many sales to all,
Re: How do I use a Knitting Nancy?
You don't need to know how to knit with a 'Nancy' It really is child's play. The 2 links in the earlier replies have excellent instructions on doing the basic cords, and adding beads is so simple. It just needs a bit og preparation as they have to go onto the yarn before you start.. So this is on the 'to do' list now
Re: How do I use a Knitting Nancy?
My knitting Nancy was too long - I kept taking the knitting off the pegs to check that it was growing. Later I had a wooden cotton reel one which was much better because it was shorter.
However, meebo, if you use oe of your knitting machines with a small number of stitches and set to knit in one direction and slip in the other you gt the cord faster than any other way. It makes your kntting machine the most expensive knitting nancy ever!
Re: How do I use a Knitting Nancy?
Yes, I know the way to get the result on the knitting machine. Just a teeny bit more bulky to carry around:D
