Postcards. Some help listing please.
I have several hundred postcards from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Mostly British but quite a lot from France and Spain. I bought them because they were better than the photos I could take with the camera I had at the time, panoramic views and some of museum exhibits where photography wasn't allowed.
Most are unused but some I wrote on and posted then reclaimed when I got home. They have all been kept in albums and are in good condition.
Now I want to list them and would be gratefull for any pointers about what is important to collectors. Do I need to put such things as the printer, date, used or not in the description? Many, although I didn't write on and post them I wrote the date of my visit on the back, does this count as used and should I mention this in the description?
Are postcards of this age and type worth listing? It will take ages to take photos and fill in the details on the listing form!
Any help / advice gratefully received. Thanks.
Re: Postcards. Some help listing please.
You might want to list them in groups by location, or topic. Post cards are postally unused, postally used, new or used, as far as I know. I would definitely indicate that there is writing on the back, if there is, as that might limit either reuse or value.
