Anyone Know Anything About T.G. Green?
Here's an item I've had stored in a box since my Grandmother died a few years ago. I know it's rare, I know it has some value! Unfortunately I don't have a clue how valuable? It's not really my subject. If I could get an approximate value I'd probably list it on eBid on BIN. Anyone have a clue?

No idea, but it is lovely!
Re: Anyone Know Anything About T.G. Green?
T.G. Green and Co. produced pottery at Church Gresley, near Burton - on - Trent, Derbyshire from 1864. They became very popular around the 1960's for their blue and white striped 'Cornishware' pattern (which was first made in the 1920's) they also produced it in some other colours. The Cornishware was fetching quite a high price a few years ago but like everything else prices have dropped recently.
Your teapot is lovely. The mark on it dates it to c.1892 onwards. I have no idea what price it would go for. The cube shaped novelty teapots they produced seem to be going for around the £50 mark these days but I would have a look around on the net to see if there are any others out there from the late 1800's. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I did get some information from someone who claimed to be a T.G. Green historian that it was an, up to now, unknown pattern. Unfortunately, as they were in the market to buy it, I couldn't extract any info about value. The nearest thing I could find the asking price of was £300 (a feebay listing a few weeks back).
If anyone can find any info on price I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to build up some good example sales of quality antiques to use on my blog. In my experience quality items tend to sell fairly fast on eBid which is fine. The problem is the whole exercise is undermined if I sell (through ignorance) at a much lower price than I would of got at you know where. Actually, undermined is an understatement, backfire would be a better description.
