Postage Calculator

Hi Guys, am new here from ebay.

I have been selling from the UK worldwide for years, but am now moving to the US.

I have been using http://www.seajays.org.uk/postage/ as a great way to easily work out postage prices from the UK worldwide.

Does anyone know of a similiar site for posting from the US?

I ahve looked into it (briefly) and it all seems a bit confusing.....

I don't have any experience with seajays so don't know how they compare but I use USPS, just enter zip or change to country needed in drop down and enter the weight and it will show you the various prices.

Depends what you are selling. If it is lightweight items then you need to use the USPS (United States Postal Service) site for calculations or the eBid shipping calculator. For small items I use First Class Mail (USA with Delivery Confirmation) and First Class Mail International (Certificate of Mailing as there is no other tracking available except registered). I also moved from UK to USA

Not always, I use Alaska or Hawaii zip codes when calculating in advance and if it works out less than I calculated at the PO desk, then I give a refund.

One other questions, just something im curious about and dosen't warrant a new thread.... on the homepage where it says new it last 24 hours.... does that mean auctions... or members?

It says:

New in last 24hrs 114,573

it means listings

From what I have seen the US postal system is far more complicated than the UK one. However, they do have calculated postage - which I think saves you having to redo all your postage prices every time the postal rates go up (I nearly said 'change' but they only ever go one way)

Thats scary if the US is more complicated than the UK with its postal system!
