eBid will be going for it's move to a new data centre in Dallas, Texas at around 4am GMT (5am London, Midnight New York) tomorrow morning.
We will be moveing hundreds of gigabytes of data over the atlantic and it could take a few hours. We will also be chaning our DNS entries which will mean the efficiency of your ISP will determine when you will be able to see eBid again, some could be as soon as we flick the switch back on, some could be a few more hours.
We hope to flick the switch back on at 7am GMT on Monday.
The changeover will not have any affect on URLs, the site will not look any different, it will just be over 200% faster and bulk uploads will be around 1000% faster.

The update went smoothly and we were up within 3 hours. Some users with less than efficient ISPs will find they won't have access for a few hours until their ISPs get round to updating the DNS database. Updating DNS (the database that points domain names to their correct servers) is updated anything from 1 second to up to 24 hours.
You may notice a few small glitches as everything settles down but any little glithces will be ironed out as we work through things for the rest of the day. Thanks for the patience.
Thanks,
Gazza
