Re: Miss eBid's Guide to the Big Apple
My dear eBid friends, you will be happy to know that I have been made to feel most welcome from the very moment of my arrival. The hot toddies flowed freely. The food was plentiful. My new friends are warm and cuddly.
I don't think they have ever seen a little person.
Penelope,
Attachment 45079
whose full name is Princess Penelope Pea Pod, wants to be queen, so look out HerMajesty.
Eddie,
Attachment 45080
aka Sir Edward J Finnegan III is an old world gentleman and quite the charmer.

More snow and cold was in the forecast when I arrived. Next post will have an update on that.
Re: Miss eBid's Guide to the Big Apple
Í'll scoooooootch over on the throne to make room for Penelope............I'm sure there will be enough space for the two of us! I couldn't refuse anyone as elegant yet loveable as she is.
Looks like LME is fully equipped with friends now!
Re: Miss eBid's Guide to the Big Apple
What purrfect pals for Miss eBid, lovely to see them getting on. :) They should help keep her warm if the snow and cold forecast is correct.

Good to know. Even though Penelope is a little girl, she does know how to spread out and take up as much of a "throne" as you will let her and she is not at all bashful about "asking" for attention.

There is a very large purr factor :) These two sound like jet engines when they get going! The snow and cold came and stayed for a very long time ... luckily these guys were around to provide some entertainment.

Lovely bundles of furry, purry joy! Will 1 of my pilchards between the 2 be enough do you think? I'd send one for Miss eBid but I think she would rather have steak?

In theory, it should be plenty ... but Penelope can be a little piglet when it comes to her favorite food. It's really not very lady like. Eddie is such a gentleman that he lets her get away with it ... up to a point and then he "politely" nudges her out of the way to get his share.

A Room with a View
The snow came as promised. I have never seen snow like this. Well, to be honest, I have never seen snow! This 5 foot fence is barely visible after the snow finally stopped.

A powerful storm system swept up the East Coast, leaving in its wake downed power lines, stranded travelers and abandoned vehicles.
Attachment 45186
The system settled over the New York region early in the morning and quickly intensified, creating blizzard like conditions that grounded thousands of flights and caused widespread delays for buses and trains.
I'm so glad I was already at my destination. Safe and warm, thanks to my new friends. This little guy probably wishes he had already flown south for the winter.
Attachment 45187
The view from my room is of the back of the property. The sloped grounds are filled with trees and gardens. I am told there are a series of paths and walk ways. Don't think we'll be out walking for quite some time.
Attachment 45188
Throughout the cold and snowy winter, we entertained ourselves with games and puzzles.

This was quite an accomplishment for a little gal with no thumbs! When the sun returns and the snow has melted I hope to see the 'real' Times Square.
Re: Miss eBid's Guide to the Big Apple
I do like snow, but I expect you can have too much of a good thing
Re: Miss eBid's Guide to the Big Apple
Great pictures!! Glad her stuffing is warm and cozy, as are her friends and her new home!!
