Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
We'll be taking the eBid website and mobile app down for some new additions and a quick hardware upgrade on 26th September for around an 90 minutes.
We aim for around 7am London (2am New York) to cause as little disruption as possible.
Thanks,
Gazza
Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
We've had a hardware failure of one of our major servers overnight. It has been decommissioned and traffic has been pointed elsewhere.
Apologies for anyone having trouble with image uploads in the last couple of hours.
These should now be working fine again.
Any eBid Spreadsheet or Ninja Lister uploads sent to us since 5am London BST (Midnight New York) should be re-sent.

Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
We'll be going offline for around an hour on Saturday around 7am London, 2am New York, 11pm (Friday) San Francisco to install some updates.
Some improvements to mobile layouts and also an update to allow listings to retain their ID#s throughout their lifetime (and to keep the same URL throughout) in order to help with search engine optimisation.

Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
Saturday's downtime allowed us to do the big and slow updates that allow for lifetime listing IDs but the finishing touches will take place this week while we fix a small problem, no more downtime will be needed.

Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
eBid has been suffering from it's first major DDOS attack over Tuesday and Wednesday. As with extreme events like this you can never know what level of attack to expect.
Our downtime has been longer than we had hoped but i am glad to say or defences are now much stronger and eBid is a lot more robust and prepared for future attacks of these sort.

Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
Ninja Lister, Spreadsheet and API are all now fully running again after the problems with the DDOS attack.
Thanks,
Gazza
Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
Image upload problems from this afternoon have now been fixed.
Thanks,

Re: Site Downtime & Problem Notifications
Google Shopping have decided to stop using their XML format of uploading so we are having to place new uploads on hold over this weekend to allow us to update our systems to their JSON format.
Any new eBid listings from now until the beginning of next week will still be uploaded as soon as the new system boots up at the beginning of next week.
Apologies for the inconvenience, uploads still remain free to our SELLER+ account holders!
Thanks,
Gazza
UPDATE 13 FEB 2020
------------------------------
Our new systems have been in place for over a week now and have caught up with any backlog of uploads. Many thanks for your patience. Uploads to Google Shopping should now be even faster than before.
