Thought I would say hello
Hi all. I have been a member of Ebid for quite some time, but I have never really taken the plunge with the store function. I have been trading quite a while on the other side of the bridge, but because of their high fees I have decided to move over here and open a store or two.
I sell computer hardware and some software. I also trade in old computer retro games. My main shop :
http://cornerstone-components.ebid.net/
sells computer hardware and components at incredible competitive pricing, but I have been listing for quite some time now and not had any sales. I notice from the other computer hardware sellers that they have not sold much or not at all for some years. I hope to change that trend.
Please take a look at my items and please give me some advice and tips if you want.
I would like to ask though, because my postage fee is the same no matter how much you buy from me, does this carry over if someone was to buy more than one item that is different. How do I test this?
E.g. If you buy a motherboard and the postage is £4.99, and you also want to by a CPU, then the postage for the both of them would remain at £4.99. Is this the case, or does it automatically calculate the postage as being £9.98. If so, then I would not want this to happen, how could I ensure that it remains at £4.99 no matter how many items you buy.
I hope to get to know you all. And because I am a qualified computer technician, I hope to try and help you out with your computer related problems too.
Thanks for reading my post!!

Welcome here! I would suggest you take off the virtual high street link......no links to offsite selling is allowed here.
Check out the FAQ's by clicking the help button at the top right of any page.
I don't know about your postage answer....I suppose it depends on how you have set up your listings.......
Thanks for your offers of help..........I'm sure we will take advantage of it in the future!!
Good luck!

I checked this out and its owned by eBid
So I have tried to add it to my About Me Page.
I am currently waiting for them to either approve or reject the application.
Lets see what happens.
I am sure eBid will let me know one way or the other.

It has two ads from eBid (not sure how they do it), but all the links go to other places.................
Re: Thought I would say hello
Welcome to eBid.net. If you have Google+ account, try doing what some of us are already doing. When you list an item, Google+ it and put #ebid in the comments section. It will help your items show up in Google. Mine are usually on the first page now.

It is this actual domain registration information I checked first. :D
Looks very familiar to me.
Re: Thought I would say hello
I don't know about all the addresses..........just know that when you click a random link, it takes you to commercial, off-site places......which is not allwed, I understood.

Yes I understand what you are saying but.
If I understand things correctly it is not a link that takes you directly to another ecommerce site, only to another site owned by eBid
as is Snapagogo.
But I may well be wrong in which case I will happily remove the link.
Re: Thought I would say hello
I could be wrong too........but the page takes you away from eBid and offers optional sellers. Maybe no different than the ads that pop up on the sidebars.....who knows. Not me, most likely!!:D

No I think you could be right. I am still waiting to hear back from the site (the one I think is owned by eBid) as to if they accept my application or not. My theory being that if they do accept it then I can not be doing some thing against the rules.
