thank you suesjools and all for your help on pearl earrings

Hi guys just to let you all know after taken them to loads of jewellers who offered stupid amounts for the earrings i took them to a local auction house that specialises in jewellery. they were valued quite high.

just to let you know one jewellery place tried to offer my son two pounds for them trying to say the were not real and the diamonds were not real my son did not tell them they were allready tested for pearls and diamonds another tried to offer £30. so there are still some jewellers that try to scam people trying to get items for nothing. glad i didn't fall into that trap these people should loose their business licence.

the auction place gave me a an estimate of 400-600 pounds though i couldn't afford to get them properly estimated with a certificate and they wouldn't even write it down. but i knew they were worth a bit and the price is what i want for them, i have them listed and the pendant that matches

the biggest surprise was trying to list the metal i had to take them back to our local jewellers and i got them tested by two jewellery places as when i tested them my first reaction was for sterling silver. they are not they are infact 14K gold with either alot more silver in the white gold to make the white gold or they have been sterling silver overlayed over 14K white gold. this surprised me but didn't surprise the jewellers.
