Just having your listings on ebid is not going to set the world on fire.
In the real world there is a well known phrase called "you get what you pay for"
And if you pay nothing......
Also if people coulf put up all of their tat on ebid for free, it would not help.
I suggest that if you are a serious long term seller that the ebid life time Seller+ deal is a very good one.
I completely agree. Within 5 minute of finding this site I paid the lifetime fee. It is a great deal. I have only been here for 6 days and have only 1 sale but I am working on promotion. Some of these people sound like they would ask a landlord for free shop rent and then complain when he doesn't pay for advertising.

I STILL can't understand why people come over to eBid to escape everything that ebay stands for -
Then promptly want - or in some cases DEMAND - eBid to change to ebay's practices!
If folk just want more of the same, STICK with the bay! Simples! No Rocket Science involved!

I second that

Because they want eBay - but without the bits they personally do not like.

This is the only reason we don't sell on eBid and when eBid realises this is a severe disadvantage in comparison to eBay, eBid could possible be a strong eBay rival, this would also mean a lot of businesses such as mine that sell our eBay would happily start selling on eBid but as we do not know how strong our sales will be on eBid we are not willing to throw money at selling on eBid.
Why not throw £50 at it like a lot of non business users have!
Get your seller plus account and list using turbo and ninja.
Do your own promotions like BOGOF or whatever and invite your ebay customers, website customers and everyman & his dog over to your new location.
As for ebid's fee structure; I don't see your point? Seller plus account means free listing for life - or as most do 2% final value fees payable only if & when an item sells.
May I suggest that you just visit ebid for a while and do your research properly?
You may surprise yourself and see what a great deal ebid really is! ;) :) :) :)

At eBid prices.
Re: eBid Could Be An eBay Rival
I think the problem is that sellers leave ebay (and rightly so) because of the high fees, the rule changes, the dictatorial attitude and the bias towards keeping the buyer happy at all costs.
The trouble is they then find that the buyers still prefer much ebay and few buy here.
That might not go down well with the flag wavers but unfortunately its true.

If you bias a site heavily in favour of buyers, it's not exactly rocket science to suggest that buyers like it. :D That's one of the reasons ebidders have to work harder to convince buyers to shop elsewhere.
Re: eBid Could Be An eBay Rival
And its just natural for buyers to go to ebay.
Its what they have done for 10 years.
Its like hoovering or Google,
We have to change buyers mindset!
