I find it interesting how Al's suggestion of a separate member's area has caused some members to see the potential abuse while others see the potential benefit.
That being the case, I...

Somehow I don't think so (of late anyway).
Well - I can't help but agree with these thoughts ...
Very True - was thinking along similar lines myself ....
Well - part of me is inclined to agree with you Kim - All in the name of 'Honesty'.
But then - I wasn't thinking of a members area being one of 'hiding the truth' from people as much as allowing...
I must admit that I've thought the same myself, especially during the earlier months after joining.
Some of the threads that I was viewing made me wonder whether they really were good PR for eBid.

I've only ever used AVG and Avast ( the 'free' versions of both).
I did notice my system 'slowing' somewhat with AVG (especially during boot up).
Now that I'm using the free version of Avast, my PC...

Hi Chris......
Yes, having that box ticked when uploading would make sense given where the box is positioned (under the 'browse' button for finding your file).
The thing is - I still have to...
Hi worldclass.....
If you click on the 'help' tab (top right of screen) you'll get the available options for assistance, including (if needed) the ability to open a 'ticket' with support....
That's interesting MPS ......
Same for me.
That ONE time I got it to work (after you posted) - that was also with the box NOT ticked, well I definately didn't select the tick.
Anyway, seems it...
The box (1) has to be ticked (duh) !!!
(where was I when they handed out brains?)

Seems this "Crop Thumnails" is very intermittant, 'cos I've achieved only ONE successful crop - all the others failed.

Thanks MPS .....
Well - you wouldn't read about it !
I went back in and tried it again myself ...... and VOILA ! it worked this time !!!
I did exactly the same as before (when it didn't work) -...

I was trying to crop an already uploaded picture using the "Crop Thumbnail" feature under "Modify Auction"
The instructions say.....
"Select an area using your mouse on the original image.

True, but 'making money' and 'greed' are not two neatly separate 'catagories' or 'boxes'.
There's an element of greed in most people - to a greater or lesser degree.
The 'line' between the two is a...
Al's quote...
Well - Al, probably a fair percentage of folk think this way (probably most) - it's 'the Great American Dream' to own your own house, car(s) maybe boat, holiday house, etc etc etc....

Yes - congratulations Emily.
You've always got nice things to say in the forums ....

I think you'll find that any searches you perform via your 'Auctions I'm Currently Running' tab, will need to be exact matches.
ie: You would need to search them as Allen & Ginters since...

I got 125 listings to come up for you (both under Allen & Ginters as well as Allen & Ginter) - (This was under the US Site).
I got 71 listings for Allen & Ginter (UK Site - not your...
Dzambo - I think you have 'the big picture' on things .....
You're a deep thinker and very observant.
If management were quite happy with the smaller size, fewer staff, fewer hassles approach, and they were to publicly say so, then smaller hobby sellers may be quite happy, but, - the serious sellers...
Darthmatt - I find myself agreeing with your views -
I think your observations are spot on.
Yes well feebay probably know that there's an inexaustable supply of sellers available, so they can 'raise the bar' as high as they like, and still there'll be some sellers who will try to stay on...
Well Gizmo - there's quite a few viewing this thread right now - so maybe someone else would like to add their thoughts / support for your idea .....
I do too. But I do get the feeling that some people can be put off by a very low price because of wondering what might be wrong with the item.
It's a shame that happens. (and I've done it myself)....
I've wondered about this myself.....
