Re: How about a Forum for Members only?

    aaa

I find it interesting how Al's suggestion of a separate member's area has caused some members to see the potential abuse while others see the potential benefit.

    That being the case, I...

Well - part of me is inclined to agree with you Kim - All in the name of 'Honesty'.

Re: How about a Forum for Members only?

I must admit that I've thought the same myself, especially during the earlier months after joining.
Some of the threads that I was viewing made me wonder whether they really were good PR for eBid.

Re: Finally got rid of it

I've only ever used AVG and Avast ( the 'free' versions of both).
I did notice my system 'slowing' somewhat with AVG (especially during boot up).
Now that I'm using the free version of Avast, my PC...

  11. Re: Anyone familiar with the "Crop Thumbnail" feature?

    Hi Chris......

Yes, having that box ticked when uploading would make sense given where the box is positioned (under the 'browse' button for finding your file).

The thing is - I still have to...
  12. Re: I am a new member and I am finding problems contacting ebid.

    Hi worldclass.....
If you click on the 'help' tab (top right of screen) you'll get the available options for assistance, including (if needed) the ability to open a 'ticket' with support....
  13. Re: Anyone familiar with the "Crop Thumbnail" feature?

    That's interesting MPS ......
    Same for me.
That ONE time I got it to work (after you posted) - that was also with the box NOT ticked, well I definately didn't select the tick.

    Anyway, seems it...

  17. Anyone familiar with the "Crop Thumbnail" feature?

  18. Re: Why do I get the impression people are afraid to buy here?

True, but 'making money' and 'greed' are not two neatly separate 'catagories' or 'boxes'.
There's an element of greed in most people - to a greater or lesser degree.
The 'line' between the two is a...

Well - Al, probably a fair percentage of folk think this way (probably most) - it's 'the Great American Dream' to own your own house, car(s) maybe boat, holiday house, etc etc etc....

You're a deep thinker and very observant.
  24. Re: Why do I get the impression people are afraid to buy here?

If management were quite happy with the smaller size, fewer staff, fewer hassles approach, and they were to publicly say so, then smaller hobby sellers may be quite happy, but, - the serious sellers...

Darthmatt - I find myself agreeing with your views -
I think your observations are spot on.
  26. Re: Why do I get the impression people are afraid to buy here?

Yes well feebay probably know that there's an inexaustable supply of sellers available, so they can 'raise the bar' as high as they like, and still there'll be some sellers who will try to stay on...

  28. Re: Why do I get the impression people are afraid to buy here?

I do too. But I do get the feeling that some people can be put off by a very low price because of wondering what might be wrong with the item.
It's a shame that happens. (and I've done it myself)....
  29. Re: Why do I get the impression people are afraid to buy here?

    I've wondered about this myself.....
