Thanks! I just need to look a bit closer, I guess.
I have bought a few things from eBid members recently because, first I liked the items, second I think it's important to support fellow members.
My question is: If I don't receive an item or...
Heck, only 57 years to go!! :)
But it'll probably have close to 100,000 miles on it by then.....
Hmmmm.....so my 1967 MGB Roadster is an ANTIQUE?? :)
In 1889 Charles Martin Hall came up with an inexpensive process to refine aluminum. The price dropped out of aluminum pretty fast after that, but Harstfeld was still trying to sell aluminum items at...
Among my zillions of references on EVERYTHING, I found some information on your little aluminum item. It is a "watch charm" made by the Hartsfeld Furnace & Refining Company and offered for sale in...
That "Dope and Change" note is pretty funny! Do you have it for sale?
Just wondering....100,000 WHAT?? (Sure wish I knew how to put these little smilie things on msgs)
They're some of my favorites, too! And I don't have any problem grading them....ONCE EACH!
US coins, I like the Walking Liberty half dollar and Mercury Dime (actually Winged Liberty, I think). I...
I've found silver coins here that are in the same condition. They will clean up with CLR and silver tarnish remover, but I know that will destroy the value of a collectible coin. That's why I asked...
Thanks for your information. That's pretty much what I thought, too.
What a crime! A relatively rare date coin destined for the trash bin.
My first attempt to post a pic, so I hope it works out.
The coin appears pretty worn, but how much is hard to tell. The crust looks thick. The back side is actually better.
I tried to put a couple of those little smilie thingies to show that my sense of humor isn't quite as dry as it sounds in type, but obviously I haven't figured that out, either.
And the WRONG side of the road, too!
And I think the correct spelling is "Loo", but I'm not sure. Seems I learned that from Benny Hill, or somebody.
I think a lot of people who would be buying in the past are now concerned more about keeping or finding a job, finding money to pay the mortgage, etc. When people are economically terrified...
I can see the basic points of both sides, though I tend to side with free expression. It seems, however, to be a moot point here on eBid as I just now took a quick look at the Militaria category and...
I have an 1892 S Barber Dime I found with a metal detector recently. It has an encrustation of grey gunk all over it, but I don't dare try to remove it. As it is, it's hard to tell just how good or...
And that's only if I type in the store name. If just a product it won't show.
Mine that were posted to my store do not show. Those posted as single auctions do.
I've heard a lot about the Google link thing, but I have no clue what that really means. Could someone enlighten a SERIOUS Newbie?
WOW! You guys are fast!
Thanks! Guess I should look around a little better.
I added a photo to my signature. It appears in the UserCP but will not come up in my posts. Anything I can do?
I tried what you suggested. Everything was the same in this version, but it didn't change. My computer is old and tired, I guess.
I really appreciate your help.
Actually, no. But I won't worry about it. It's not a big problem.
But thanks again for your suggestions.
Ok, thanks. I'll try that....
Sorry about the confusing wording.
I'm using Windows XP and Internet Explorer 8.0, I believe.
I may have figured it out.....
I feel so......"Newbie".
How do you put links on forum messages?
Thanks for the replies.
I haven't been logging out. I went to my browser and set my security lower to allow most cookies, but it's still the same. It's not a real problem, just a little...
Ok, another Newbie question:
When I log in to eBid I always check the option to stay logged for 24 hours, but if I log out and come back later I have to log in again. Is this a normal thing or...
