    Import Items from eBay

I just used the new "Import Items from eBay" facility. So easy to use and it worked very quickly. Thanks eBid.

Re: Out of Date: Items I've Boought

Mine seem to be complete and in date order with the latest first. You can't sort bought items but you can selectively hide them.
  5. Re: It seems this listing has either been deleted or it closed more than 75 days ago

I do this a lot but usually with one of my own listings. Have you got an example of a listing (ie the ID) which you are using to do a 'List Similar item' on? Cheers, Tony

Yes, I am getting exactly the same error using my new URL https://railway-relics.ebid.net/ Needs fixing quickly as I know I have customers who go direct to my store. While this is wrong we are...

Well done Bill, it goes to prove to the doubters that eBid can be good for selling.

    Re: Revitalising Buddy points

I agree. The current system just attracts people to sign up and get 100 free Buddy Pooints, get a few T Shirst then go. They don't have to have any intent to buy or sell on the site.

    Re: Revitalising Buddy points

There used to be a few higher value items like remote drives, cameras etc.

I agree tape is good for Sellers but maybe not so much for buyers.

    Revitalising Buddy points

Whilst I appreciate Buddy Points are a free extra that we are grateful for, they do, to my mind, seem to have become stagnant of late. A couple of years ago there was an interesting range of items...
  14. Re: Suggested Improvements For Shipping Options

I agree about the "Not Known" being a little abrupt.

However, there is a maximum of 5 shipping options for domestic shipping plus 5 for International Shipping.
  15. Re: Tracked/Signed For Airmail to the USA - which is best to use?

Generally I always go for "Signed For" when its a choice between "Tracked" and "Signed For". This is on the basis that if you have a signature the recipient cannot deny having the item - this is...

Re: Make Google Shopping available worldwide.

In a number of your listing titles you have a "/" . Google is very fussy on syntax. Try removing the / and see if that helps.

Re: eBid parcel tape for money?

Yes, could eBid please consider reinvigorating the Buddy points auctions. Just checked and there were 10 items listed:

One is a sticker with the old logo on it!!
    Eight were T-Shirts/ Beanie /...
  18. Re: items that should be listed and items that have already been sold and appreared a

Using "listings I Ran - without Sales" won't pick up everything that closes. For example if you have a multiple item listing with say 10 items and 2 of them sell, when the listing closes you will...
  19. Re: items that should be listed and items that have already been sold and appreared a

I would suggest that doing that way is more time intensive and prone to error if you are not careful. Another advantage in using Bulk Edit is that it doesn't affect the finish times so you don't get...
  20. Re: items that should be listed and items that have already been sold and appreared a

Do a bulk edit to select all your items. You can do this by not putting any criteria in on the first page of the bulk edit dialogue and just press the search for listings button at the bottom. It...
  21. Re: items that should be listed and items that have already been sold and appreared a

    Never had a similar problem.

For the 2 items that shouldn't have still been for sale check that you haven't accidentally made them multi item listings (ie the quantity field >1) when you only...

Re: Using string delimiters in Bulk Edit

Thanks Bill, but that solution won't work for me as I am trying to close listings rather than amend them. I suppose I could export everything, delete the ones I don't want and then reimport - but...

Using string delimiters in Bulk Edit

Not sure if this is a fault in the system or a facility that isn’t available.

I am trying to do bulk edits to close subsets of my photos. If I use the normal search in descriptions using a...
  24. Re: Warning :- U.K. Post office staff strikes likely in the run up to Christmas.

As I understand it it only affects main Post Offices. Royal Mail is a separate entity from the Post office and shouldn't be affected. What it will mean is longer queues in sub-post offices.

    Re: Double the Category

I would suggest that it would only be worthwhile for high value items. I guess you get charged 5p at every relist.

I think the previous request was to be able to have items in multiple store...

Re: eBid parcel tape for money?

Another plug for some eBid tape on Buddy Point Auctions. Excellent quality stuff that advertises the site.

Also how about some other stuff on Buddy point auctions. I can't grumble as its for...
  27. Re: Trying to buy, but not able to get to product

I have had the same when buying and I agree its most confusing. Obviously this can only happen with multi item listings.

I agree there is no need to show the ASL to buyers for completed...

    Wrong details on PayPal email

A buyer bought 16 items and paid by PayPal on a MIC. Normally the email from PayPal lists the items but in this case the PayPal payment just listed “Invoice from bunsock on eBid
    Item Number 13477”....
