Please serve the proper response headers for deleted or closed items. They should NOT be returning SERVER RESPONSE: HTTP/1.1 200 OK but rather a 404 or 410. Many visitors arrive at Ebid from a link...
I see, that surprises me a bit. I've never tried the lister...I'll check back again next year.
I suppose they are somewhat related in the sense that an android app could be used to manage your seller account. They already have an API otherwise their Ninja Lister wouldn't function. I can't...
Just doing my annual check to see if eBid has released an API yet. It really shouldn't take a decade to release one. It isn't that complex.
I also hope they start a developer portion of the forum. I'm sure many eBid users wouldn't be interested in API or other technical discussions.
Yes, Specifically this thread where Gazza mentions a planned 2005 API release.

No, your arithmetic is correct. Well done. You are confused because you are assuming only a registered member can wait for ebid to release an API.
Yes, it might be longer though. Not sure why it's taking them so long.
Cool! Looks like the seven year wait is almost over.
I check in every few years to see what the status of API development is. Can anyone give me an update? This would enable existing shopping cart owners to manage their ebid auctions directly from...
cool!
Don't hold your breath. I've been begging for an API release for two years. I'm not a big seller either...I'm just too lazy to use their primitive spreadsheet method, and don't have the time to debug...
All these requests could easily be implemented with the release of the API.
*sigh*
It would be nice to be able to sort the "auctions I'm running" link by views. I like to look to see how many views my auctions have.
a bigger store graphic link would be nice for those of us who are less intuitive.
Of course the seller should always have the option to not use a automated combined shipping option...if one is ever implemented.
There is a link to stores on individual auction pages however they are extremely tiny and hard to find. Why this is I have no clue. You could put a larger link to your eBid store in your html...
I'm trying to get my tiny pea sized brain around how I can specify that I will ship to any country in the world. The bulk upload spreadsheet only shows a handful of countries. What is the special...
god i love British humor.
The concept being that shipping costs should not have to be adjusted by the seller. That is why we have new contraptions called computers and other new and frightening concepts called programming.
I just want to double check to make sure I understand calculated shipping. Say I have a store item with 10 in stock. Each item weighs one ounce. So if a customer purchases 5 items is the shipping...
Well since API doesn't seem to be that important to Ebid does anyone know if there is a bulk upload FTP option so I can set up a cron job to keep store inventory item quantities updated? That would...
:) ..
Really? That is pretty cool. I haven't heard that. I'm going to try to find some news about that now.
So apparently size does matter? Calculating shipping for multiple store items can be complex. For my online shop I wrote some code that calculates the total weight of the order and then I have a...
For multiple items purchased there shouldn't be immediate payment and immediate invoicing. The customer should be allowed to shop around at your store and add items to their "cart". Then when they...
cool!
I've been gone for about a year. I was wondering if ebid ever released an api? Also is it now possible to for a buyer to combine shipping for multiple store purchases before paying?
Thanks.
Well according to this article Ebid announced API will be released in 2009. It is absolutely necessary this happens if Ebid wants to be taken seriously. There are no negative aspects of implementing...
